Your class is at your level. Continually learn something new on the road to becoming your family’s chess champion. The Squires Level is designed for those who know how the pieces move, check and checkmate, castling, and material value. You must have completed the Pages Level class or have the equivalent skills and knowledge to ensure you are ready to become a Squire. As a Squire you learn how to use your pieces together as a team, control the center of the board, learn the higher concepts of chess notation, and tactics such as attacking the “f” pawn, en passant, forks, pins, and swarming.
