All Day Preschool operates twelve months a year and serves children 3-5 years of age.
This ECFE class is non-separating for parents and children birth to age 2.
Half Day Preschool offers options for 3 year olds to attend two mornings or afternoons per week or for 4 & 5 year olds to attend three mornings or afternoons per week.
Village Kids is a school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school and on non-school days for children in grades K-5 attending Wilshire Park Elementary School or who reside in St. Anthony-New Brighton School District.
Our early childhood camps and enrichment classes are specifically for children ages 2-6. However, some of our camps and classes are geared for ages 2-9 so siblings can attend together.
Salsa is a Latin social dance (originated in Cuba) with lively, energetic vibes, and it’s just pure fun! This is a beginner-level class, so if you’ve never danced a day in your life or if you just want a refresher on the steps, this class is for you! Instructor Bre Gay specializes in keeping it easy - starting with counting to the syncopated beat of salsa music, and learning the basic steps and turns from there. This class progresses across 4 weeks, with each week building on the previous one as we learn to lead and follow various salsa dance patterns.
Sign up together with a dance partner or sign up solo and you will be partnered with another solo participant!
Bre Gay is a Northeast Minneapolis teaching artist. She has been dancing since college, where she received a degree in Musical Theatre. She started taking ballroom dance lessons and enjoyed it so much that she became an instructor at a local studio and competed professionally. She now teaches on her own: private couples’ dance lessons, community dance classes, and wedding first dances, and has a particular gift for working with beginners. Through her business A Brush of Joy, she also teaches Paint & Sip classes and sells her paintings.
