  • Friday morning ECFE

    This is an in-person, separating class. Families will meet in the ECFE classroom with Anne-Marie, our ECFE teacher. We will participate in circle time, art, sensory and large-motor movement with parents and children. For parents and children birth to age five. The Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes are for all families with children ages birth to five. If you have more than one child, register each child separately. If you have a child under one, they will stay with you in the parent education room during the separation time. Format Parent and Child Learning Time ( 30 minutes) After arriving at 9:30, parents and children explore the learning activities in the children's classroom which is facilitated by our early childhood teachers. Parent Education Time (75 minutes) While parents transition into the parent education classroom, children enjoy playtime in the gym, the children’s classroom, and enjoy a snack together. Parents gain support and wisdom from group discussions about family relationships, child development, and parenthood. This class is facilitated by our licensed parent educator.   • Thursday morning ECFE

    The Thursday morning class is for parents and children to explore the learning activities in the children’s classroom followed by playtime in the gym. It is a great class to socialize with other parents about parenting topics and child development, get your kiddos familiar with another setting, and also a great chance for some peer interaction. Format Parents and children, together, enjoy play time in the gym and then transition into the children’s classroom to explore learning activities and also participate in a circle time with songs. This class is facilitated by our early childhood teacher /parent educator. For parents & children birth to age 2 Each class has a maximum of 10 children with their attending adult.   • Preschool Camps For Ages 2-Kindergarten

    Our preschool summer camps take place at the St. Anthony Community Center In Room #CS 17. There is access to a gym, playground, and open natural space. We have activities planned for all types of weather, inside and outside. Your child will be entertained in a great environment with quality staff and program materials. Children do NOT need to be potty trained to attend. The camps are designed with your busy child in mind. Daily activities will include, but are not limited to games, songs, crafts, stories, and movement activities that revolve around the weekly theme. This is a wonderful way for your child(ren) to build new friendships, confidence, socialization skills, creativity, and do all of this while also enjoying the great outdoors. Mondays-Thursdays 9:00 am-12:00 pm (Bring a bag lunch) In July the Bug Camp and Camping Camp will also have an afternoon offering from 1:00 - 4:00. Camps take place at St. Anthony Community Services Room CS17-( enter through fenced in playground’s school door)(Except for the Kindergarten camp which will meet at Wilshire Park Elementary School ) June 17-18 & June 20-21 - Flower Fun with Anne-Marie Flower fun! Drop off your child for some fun inside and outside. We will learn about flowers, find flowers in the wild, create art with flowers, and explore how flowers grow. June 24-27- 4th of July Fun with Anne-Marie Celebrate all things patriotic, eat a red, white, and blue snack each day, make flag inspired art, and maybe even participate in a parade! July 8-11- Bug Camp with Anne-Marie (also offered in the afternoon 1:00pm-4:00pm) Learn about insects, create art, and search for real insects outside! July 15-18- Camping Class with Anne-Marie (also offered in the afternoon 1:00pm-4:00pm) Come camp with me! Play in a tent, make a “fire”, create camp themed art, and have all the fun as you would on a camping trip without all of the mosquito bites! July 22-25- Messy and Muddy with Erika Join us for messy and muddy fun inside the classroom and outside on the playground! There will be messy art projects and sensory play, along with lots of mud and water on the playground! July 29-August 1- Kindergarten Camp with Erika at Wilshire Park (also offered in the afternoon 1:00pm-4:00pm) Kindergarten is a big step for parents and kids. Kindergarten Camp is designed to introduce students to Wilshire Park and to familiarize themselves with the school and classroom experience without all the swirl of noise and crowds of older kids. This is a great way to meet other children and families of incoming kindergarteners. This camp will take place in a kindergarten classroom. August 5-6 - Water Play with Anne-Marie ($80) Come and have some fun playing with water, in water, create art with water, and learn about animals that might live in the water! August 7-8 - State Fair Fun with Anne-Marie ($80) Go to the Minnesota State Fair without the crowds! Eat food on a stick, fair games, play with some “ animals”, and create fair inspired art! Meet the teachers! Erika Hudson has worked 12 years teaching half day preschool in St. Anthony. She loves spending time with family and friends being outside and traveling! Anne-Marie Fischer has been teaching ECFE in St. Anthony since 2010. She lives in Minneapolis with her high school aged children and enjoys spending time outdoors in all seasons hiking, biking, skiing and kayaking.
